Well, Dad wants me to type about being 12. So, hear it goes!
Being 12 didn't really feel different from being 11 at first, but it came with its rewards. First of all, I finally get to ride in the front seat of the car! Second, I get to wear heels! And finally, I get to go to Young Women with one of my really good friends!
My first big church youth activity was working at a Halloween carni
val for the kids 11 and younger in both of the Grand Island wards. I worked at the Cupcake Walk.Being in Young Women also means going to the Young Women Sunday school classes on Sunday. We have a grand total of four or five Young omen. One of my friends is also bringing one of her friends from school. We're hoping she will join.
Today we didn't have regular classes though. All the women in our ward had a visiting teaching meeting third hour. The Young Women were supposed to take care of Nursery last hour, so the women could go to their meeting, but my friend, her friend from school, and I got stuck taking care of Nursery for the second and third hours. The kids were really cute though and they love the Nursery's bubble blower! That thing blows, like, a gazillion bubbles a minute!
I can't wait for the next youth temple trip so that I can finally go inside the Winter Quarters Temple. That's another one of the benefits of being 12 years old.
I'd better stop and let Daddy get a few words in. Hope to see you all soon!
